A welcome from me

I didn’t start running because I thought I was a “runner.”

I started because I wanted to see what I was capable of.

At first, running was hard. There were slow runs, bad runs, and plenty of days I questioned why I was doing it. But I kept showing up, and I learned that progress happens in the ordinary runs, the ones where you don’t feel fast, motivated or strong, but you put your shoes on anyway.

That showing up took me from just getting through a run to a 10K in 51:04, and to goals I once wouldn't have thought possible.

Then this year my body asked me to slow down. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease with underlying Graves’ disease, dealt with shin splints and soleus injuries, and I’m now recovering from a total hysterectomy, about six weeks off running.

So here I am, starting again. From the couch. Back to basics, rebuilding strength and fitness.

I don’t want to do it alone. If you’re returning after time off, an injury, or a life that got in the way, this is your invitation to start again too. We’ll rebuild slowly, realistically, and without comparison.

Real women. Real running. Real progress.

Progress over perfection. Run your way.
